You have to start somewhere. That much is true in everything. With travel basketball, teams want to start playing the best teams on the best stage. The Norman Parker Showcase fit that bill in 2014. Georgia’s best travel teams came together for one event and battled it out against the best of the best teams in the Peach State.

Jerry Stackhouse of NBA and North Carolina fame coached his team to the championship. The event was also the launching pad for Brandon Ingram’s All-American season. The Kinston, North Carolina native was outstanding at the NPS. Point guard Ahmad Caver used the event to jump start his path to an Old Dominion commitment. Guys like Tobias Howard, Kam Calhoun and others continue to shine as successful prep players.
